Rob Schneider and Patricia Azarcoya Schneider have ended their marriage after nearly 15 years together, closing the chapter on a relationship that blended family life with a long-running creative partnership.
Court filings confirmed in early 2026 that Patricia petitioned to dissolve her marriage to the Saturday Night Live alum. In the documents, the union is described as “irretrievably broken and there is no possibility of reconciliation,” language commonly used in divorce proceedings.

While neither party has spoken publicly about the reasons for the split, the development has surprised many fans who watched the couple celebrate each other frequently in interviews and on social media.
From Meeting to Marriage
Schneider and Azarcoya first met in 2005, years before she became a familiar face in his professional world. The pair obtained a marriage license in California in 2010 and formally tied the knot in April 2011 during a Beverly Hills ceremony.
“Patricia and I were surrounded by our closest friends and family; it was the happiest day of my life,” Schneider said at the time, adding that they were eager to begin their honeymoon and future together.
Their relationship would ultimately span two decades from the time they met, years that included raising children, building projects together, and navigating life in the public eye.
Building a Family
The couple welcomed their first daughter, Miranda Scarlett Schneider, on November 16, 2012. Schneider shared that soon after that, both mother and baby were happy and healthy.
Their second daughter, Madeline Robbie Schneider, was born on September 14, 2016, in Los Angeles. Celebrating her arrival, Schneider said the world had just become “more beautiful.”

Azarcoya has long been vocal about the importance of passing on her Mexican heritage to their children. In past interviews, she explained that she wanted her daughters to know Mexico deeply and be able to communicate in Spanish when visiting family.
That cultural grounding became an important part of how the couple presented their home life, both privately and on camera.
Partners at Work as Well as at Home
Beyond their marriage, Schneider and Azarcoya maintained a close professional collaboration. Patricia, who comes from a television production background, served as an executive producer and costar on the Netflix comedy Real Rob, which ran for two seasons and offered a fictionalized, often self-deprecating, look at Schneider’s career and their family dynamic.
Their daughter Miranda even appeared on the show, blurring the line between performance and reality. Azarcoya later reunited with her husband onscreen in the 2022 film Daddy Daughter Trip, again producing and acting opposite Schneider while Miranda played his character’s child.
In numerous interviews and posts, Schneider credited Patricia with stabilizing his life and encouraging his work. At one point, he described her as the reason he continued performing.
Years of Public Affection
The couple never shied away from celebrating each other. In a 2022 birthday tribute, Schneider wrote that Patricia made everything beautiful and filled his life with love and happiness.
Anniversary messages over the years echoed similar themes, with the comedian thanking her for their daughters, her belief in him, and the laughter they shared. Azarcoya matched that energy. In past posts, she thanked him for their family and affectionately joked about her endlessly funny “husbando.”
Those declarations now stand in poignant contrast to the quieter, more procedural language of a court filing.
What the Filing Means
Reports on the case indicate Patricia filed in December 2025, and Schneider was served days later. A judge ultimately agreed to handle the dissolution through a confidential consent decree, which allows couples to reach agreements privately without litigating property division, custody, or support in open court.

Early paperwork suggested negotiations regarding child support, and the court required both parents to complete a mandatory parenting course, a standard step in many family law cases involving minors.
Because of the confidentiality provisions, further details may never become public.
Schneider’s Life Before Patricia
Prior to this marriage, Schneider was married to Helena Schneider from 2002 to 2005. He is also the father of Grammy-nominated singer Elle King, whom he shares with model London King. Father and daughter have both acknowledged in recent years that their relationship has experienced periods of distance.
For observers, the end of Schneider and Azarcoya’s marriage underscores how relationships that appear joyful outwardly can still face private difficulties. What remains clear is that the former couple share a long history, two young daughters, and years of creative collaboration that will continue to connect them well beyond the legal end of their marriage.
Until either chooses to speak, the fuller story behind the separation will remain theirs alone.
